Who you know – and who they know – can be a powerful thing.
Social capital is not social media but social media is an effective channel through which social capital can be generated or destroyed.
Emma-Louise Munro Wilson will explain how social capital can be leveraged in an organised way to build networks that support career development and much more. Covering the techniques that are used in order to do this and why, you will find out how the coffee cup routine built a business with a 6-figure turnover within just 15 months and how to use this routine to build your personal brand and social capital.
Emma is an accomplished senior marketing professional with broad retail marketing & global communication experience. She has led award-winning strategic transformation projects across Europe and as part of BP’s social media team, she created and curated content for over 2.5million followers across LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Emma has worked with FTSE 100s, start-ups and everything in between across the UK and Europe, generating industry-beating results in declining markets. When not in the office, Emma spends her time latin dancing, sailing, travelling or getting involved in voluntary initiatives in her local area; she has raised over £50,000 for charity within the last 5 years.
