JCI Southampton will be holding its annual AGM on Monday 5 November for members to catch up, discuss development opportunities, review the year and plan next year’s activities and plan of action. We will be discussing the projects that we ran in 2018 and evaluate our plan of action. We will also elect the team that will create the 2019 Council Team.

2019 Council Team – Roles available

We are looking for anyone interested in taking on a role on the council team for 2019, taking the lead on a project or supporting the team with one-off activities. The AGM is the opportunity for all members to come together and discuss how to shape the chamber and elect the team that will lead on the strategic decisions and represent all members on a local, national and international basis.

2019 will be JCI Southampton’s 60th Anniversary so it’s going to be a fantastic year, with lots of activities and opportunities to get involved with. Joining the Council and getting involved in the running of a local chamber is one of the best ways to get the most of your JCI membership, developing new skills, taking on challenges, and networking with professionals and businesses across the city.

  • Marketing (& Events) Director
  • Business and Corporate Partnership Director
  • International Director

Project Opportunities

We are also looking for members to take on some projects or to join the support team and help with specific tasks essential in the running of the chamber (e.g. graphic design, social media, website management, membership benefits, student coordinator, admin…) – these roles can be discussed, created and reviewed throughout the year and do not need to be elected at AGM. Please contact the current team to find out more

Constitutionally, only paid members can stand for a role on a local JCI Council Team. If you would like to join JCI please email [email protected]

Public Speaking competition

We are looking for a member to represent us at JCI UK National Convention that will be taking place in Southampton this year (23-25 November 2018). A section of the AGM will be dedicated to the competition to elect which member will represent JCI Southampton at the national competition. If you are interested in developing your public speaking skills and practicing them in a safe and motivating environment, please do let us know by emailing [email protected] Topics available on demand.
