JCI Southampton will be holding its annual AGM on Thursday 19 November 2020 for members to come together to review 2020 and start to plan 2021. We will also elect the team that will create the 2021 Plan of Action.
2021 Council Team – Roles available
We are looking for anyone interested in taking on a role on the council team for 2021, taking the lead on a project or supporting the team with one-off activities. The AGM is the opportunity for all members to come together and discuss how to shape the chamber and elect the team that will lead on the strategic decisions and represent all members on a local, national and international basis.
Roles available for 2021 are:
- Deputy President
- Finance Director
- Community Director
- Training Director
- Marketing & Events Director
- Membership & Growth Director
We are also looking for members to take on some projects or to join the support team and help with specific tasks essential in the running of the chamber – these roles can be discussed, created and reviewed throughout the year and do not need to be elected at AGM.
- International Project Manager
- Social Media Manager
- ‘Reduce Single-Use Week’ Project Manager
- Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) Project Manager
- “Bring Your Own” Project Manager (BYOPM)

Constitutionally, only paid members can stand for a role on a local JCI Council Team. If you would like to join JCI please email [email protected]
Proposed Constitution Changes
One of the agenda points for the AGM is to vote on proposed changes to the JCI Southampton Constitution, this is in part to bring it more in line with the JCI UK Consitution, better reflect the current practices of the local organisation and current spelling errors. The proposed amendments are outlined and as they will appear in the attached documents. As per the constitution, any amendments shall be approved by a majority of two-thirds of members present and voting at the Annual General Meeting with the required 21 days notice of proposed amendments hereby given.
