This event is a Business Visit, JCI Social and Charity fund-raising event for the President’s Charity.
The Wickham vineyard was established in 1984 with a first planting of just 6 acres. This has been increased to 18 acres in a 40 acre estate which sits on a picturesque south-facing slope deep in the Hampshire countryside.
Our visit begins with the highly praised guided tour round the vineyard which describes the history of English Wine, the development of the vineyard and the work throughout the vineyard year. It is a fascinating story brought to life with accompanying sounds and music.
Following a tour of the vineyard and winery, and a tasting, you will be given a bottle of Wickham wine before we retire to the vineyard’s natural amphitheatre where we will enjoy an evening Bar-B-Q supper. Those who wish to enjoy their wine, or simply immerse themselves in this beautiful Hampshire setting, may sent up their tents and camp overnight.
Tour, tasting, bottle of wine, supper, camping and donation to the President’s charity is included in the ticket price of £25 per person. Numbers are limited and this event is booking fast.
Transport from and back to Southampton (Airport) Parkway station can be arranged.
