A worldwide network of young active people
"JCI is the most engaged organisation I've ever come across, because it is a voluntary organisation of people who absolutely care about making a difference in their local areas as well as for themselves in terms of the opportunities they have to grow and develop themselves."

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a voluntary, world-wide personal development & networking organisation for young professionals and entrepreneurs in their 20s and 30s. With over 250,000 active members in over 100 countries JCI provides young people with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to empower them to create positive change.
By organising events and taking part in projects during their free time, JCI members (affectionately referred to as 'Jaycees') develop leadership skills and make a positive contribution to their local community. The overwhelming characteristics of Jaycees are their energy, creativity and determination to develop themselves whilst having a lot of fun.
Active participation in JCI provides members with the opportunities to:
- Enhance their career prospects & add new skills to their CV
- Develop their leadership ability
- Expand their professional and social contacts locally and across the globe
- Increase their self-confidence
- Gain practical project management experience in a safe and supportive environment
What makes JCI stand out against other personal development and networking organisations is that it does not just focus on one area of opportunity but five: Business, Training, International, Community and Social. People from all walks of life join JCI to learn, grow and lead projects in areas of opportunity. Past members of JCI include Kofi Annan, Bill Clinton and Bill Gates.
